Los Angeles

This past week I was in LA for work. Fast and fancy cars abounded, and it set the tone for my trip. It was quite exhausting really, dressing up and running at full speed, giving 24 presentations during the week and night prowling til early morning everyday. I liked it really, because I never wanted to be alone to face my demons. My international trips during the past 3 months have helped me avoid my problems, so when I heard Neo's song: Love songs remind me of what used to be, so why can't I turn off the radio? I found myself singing along with it, hits too close to home. I'm moving on but I'm still holding back a little, perhaps I'm just a little too hopeful.

So that's that. Onto happier notes, I got to meet my long-time friends in LA and it was great hanging with them. We swapped jokes and stories over sushi, wine, and other Filipino foodies. I also skied for the first time with my sisters, and didn't fall as much as I thought I would. I like skiing more than snowboarding (I'm getting old). Also, after one more trip to LA, I'll be going back for my sister's marriage and I'll be sending her off in lieu of my dad. I feel very old!

Anyway, I'm now preparing for my next trip, Paris. I just booked my hotel and flights and I'm thinking of visiting Switzerland or Germany afterwards for my 3-day vacation. I'm excited! (!!)

Stay tuned for the Rome2 update. I'll try to post more pictures, just be sure to comment!
